Members

Members of the OLMA are a vital part of the province’s important lumber industry -- and key contributors to local economies across northern and central Ontario.

Corporate Members harvest more than half of the annual volume of softwood species taken annually in Northern Ontario, and use it to produce lumber and structural wood products. They include:

  • Sawmills (typically rough-saw raw logs to size, cross-cut to length and grade the resulting product)
  • Planing Mills (further finish lumber by planing)
  • Lumber Remanufacturers (take used wood products and recut/remanufacture them into dimensional lumber products)
  • MSR and Fj Manufacturers (use specialized equipment to ‘Machine Stress Rate’ products' bending strength and elasticity and/or manufacture glued products such as Finger-joined lumber)

Many companies perform more than one of these roles.

Associate Members provide the important marketing, equipment and services that support the province’s lumber industry:

Mill Numbers are found on grade stamps on lumber and special products. This page lists mills by number, and by alphabetical order.
